What exactly is a body butter?

Body butters are a thick emulsion of oils, waxes and butters, they are typically made without water; all of Prana's body butters are anhydrous, that is, made without water. This type of formula offers you more absorption and a longer massage time, which is all the reason to get every ingredient deeper into the top layer of the skin.

How long does my body butter stay fresh?

6 months to a year, if you always use clean dry hands or a small spatula, as not introduce bacteria into the jar or tin.

What if my body butter melts or is too hard?

Just like that jar of coconut oil on your counter, in the winter it is firm and in the summer is is soft or even liquid. Now, our body butters aren't THAT temperamental, but they are some. It is best to store your butter in about 60-80 degrees. If it melts just stir and place in the fridge for 10 minutes. If it is too hard, hold it longer in your hands and it will heat to your body temperature.
